Location: Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast - Queensland, AUSTRALIA

At the end of the first week of December, Q1 on the Gold Coast sits at 70 floors high, poking above is the two 'kangaroo' cranes used to construct this awesome new landmark. With only 10 floors remaining, the job to dismantle these 2 cranes will require the construction of another four smaller cranes that will build and dismantle each other until the final crane is lowered down the lift shaft. The whole process is due to last only a couple of days.

Quick Facts: When completed, Q1 will have 527 apartments, 811 carparks, 10 lifts in 3 cores, site area 12840m2, landscaped area 9000m2, ten storey skygarden (levels 60-69) and 400 person observation deck. Completed height including spire approx 350m.
