Doubling Jacks Or Better Poker
Game
Objective
Doubling Jacks or Better Poker is a popular machine game based on the
conventional poker game Jacks or Better. The objective of the game is to obtain
a five-card poker hand that contains at least one pair of jacks or better, to a
maximum jackpot of a Royal Flush.
The machine gives you five cards; and gives the player the option to choose the
cards he wants to hold .The machine replaces the cards, which the player does
not hold. Player wins according to the value of the hand. Doubling Video Poker
gives the player the added option of trying to double the win amount.
How To
Play
- Click chips to insert coins and add credits to the Jacks or Better
machine. The amount of credits you have inserted is shown in the 'Credits'
box.
- Next, choose the total amount that you wish to wager in the round by
clicking on the 'Bet One' button up to five times. If you choose to wager
the maximum amount (the machine denomination x 5), simply push the 'Bet Max'
button. If you press the 'Bet Max' button, your cards will be dealt
automatically. If you use the 'Bet One' button to select the number of
wagered coins, you must press the 'Deal' button to receive your cards.
- Click 'Deal'. You receive 5 cards face up.
- Click a Card or click 'Hold' to hold a card. You can hold up to 5 cards
shown this way.
- After making the selection, click 'Draw.' The cards that are not held will
be replaced. You win based on the combination of the new set of cards and
according to the Payout table shown below.
- Whenever you like, you may cash out to receive your credits in the machine
by pressing the 'Cash Out' button. Your money will be returned to your
account balance.
- If you win you get the option of 'Doubling' your win amount or collecting
whatever you have won. (Refer to the Doubling Game instructions below)

The
Doubling Game
- This option is given if you have a win. If you choose to
"double" you are dealt one open and four facedown cards.
- You can choose any one of the four facedown cards.
- If you choose a card that is smaller than the face up card, you lose your
original winning. If the cards are equal, it is a tie, and you have the
option to collect your original winnings or double again. If your card is
bigger, you win double the amount of your original winnings. You then have
the option to collect your winnings or double even further.
